Operations Leadership


The Operations Manager will lead all business related activities at the Operation.


  • Understand each customer's distinct needs and serve those needs
  • Will take an active, forward-looking approach to business development
  • Vigorously explores potential business opportunities, including: cold calls; meeting set-ups; facility tours
  • Provide "worry-free consistant" service
  • Understands and implements the Savage S7 Delivery System
  • Understands the financial aspect of the Savage System (Budget, Projections, Dailies, and Variances)
  • Understands and implements the Savage Safety Program
  • Ensure procedures and policies are followed by all terminal employees
  • Will provide leadership to each employee by teaching and training them
  • Organized and can handle several projects at a time
  • Ensures safety and environmental compliance
  • Ensures compliance with operational processes and procedures
  • Maintenance Planning and Completion
  • Demonstrates professionalism and cleanliness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
  • Aptitude and proficiency in computer operations
  • Ensures timely and effective follow-up and follow through with customer, employees and company (do what you say you're going to do)
  • Responsibilities are not all inclusive and may change based on the need of the company


  • Ability to hire, train and treat employees right
  • Ability to develop and build successful teams and bench strength
  • Ability to promote a culture where safety and environmental issues are held at a premium
  • Understands maintenance of equipment and maintenance management (ensure that the Savage Maintenance Program is fully implemented and utilized)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
  • Self-starter capable of working independently, in line with company goals, strategies and policies
  • Creative and strategic in approaching issues
  • Experience with commercial project conceptualization and development
  • Planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and carry critical projects to completion
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements
  • Ability to work with multiple operations and multiple tasks
  • Strong presentation skills


  • BS/BA Degree preferred (MBA a plus)
  • 10 years related work experience, demonstrating leadership capabilities
  • Ability to travel on an as needed basis
